Scienze Politiche è un corso di laurea interdisciplinare nel quale si intendono integrare conoscenze di base e specialistiche negli ambiti economico, giuridico, politologico e storico.
Nel rispetto degli obiettivi formativi qualificanti individuati dalla classe di riferimento il corso di laurea in Scienze politiche si propone di integrare le conoscenze di base tipiche di una formazione interdisciplinare negli ambiti economico, giuridico, politologico, sociologico e storico con una preparazione orientata sulla dimensione internazionale degli ambiti stessi, al fine di sviluppare una specifica competenza negli aspetti transnazionali e internazionali dell’odierna realtà economico-sociale.
The cultural and professional objectives of the degree course are:
- provide cultural knowledge related to the internationalization and globalization of economic and political phenomena, including their European dimension;
- strengthen students’ language skills, through the study of English and a second language, which are essential for the start of each person’s professional careers;
- to create professional skills both in the context of state administration (including diplomatic and consular representations) and in the middle level of international organizations;
- offer adequate skills to be used in companies operating on foreign markets;
- to form a comparative knowledge of social phenomena to be used in the sectors of services, cultural heritage, tourism and communication.

The duration of the course varies from a minimum of 12 months to a maximum of 36 months and depends on the evaluation of the curriculum vitae of each student and the educational credits held, evaluated according to a system equivalent to the European ECTS system. The professional experiences already possessed at the management level are helpful for a shortening of the course.
To be admitted to the degree course in Political Science it is necessary to have a secondary school diploma of the second degree, or other qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable, and an adequate initial preparation. In particular, a good general culture is required, supported by logical skills, the possession of basic knowledge of a historical-political-social nature and basic knowledge of a linguistic nature.
